Frequently asked questions
Can I write my own script?
As part of our service we provide bespoke showreel scripts so we can capture the essence of YOU, and show that off in your showreel. If you decide not to use that part of our service then yes, you can write your own script(s). However the price for the package will remain the same, so there is no discount for writing your own script.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
We completely understand that life can throw curveballs, and you may not be able to make the agreed-upon date for your Professional Acting Showreel shoot. If this happens and you notify us 72 hours before the shoot, we can secure a new date using your original deposit. However, if you let us know within 72 hours of the shoot, a new deposit will be required before we can rebook your shoot. This policy is in place due to the unlikelihood of us being able to fill the slot on such short notice.
We pride ourselves on offering Bespoke Showreels and Affordable Acting Showreel Packages to suit your needs, so we strive to accommodate changes wherever possible.
How long after filming will I receive the edit?
We aim to have a three-week turn around. During busier times it can take slightly longer but if this is the case we will keep you updated.
How long is the session?
We like to make sure everything looks good. This takes a bit of time with adjusting lights, natural blocking and making sure we cover all angles etc. Filming, generally speaking takes around 2-3 hours per scene.
Do you source the location(s)
We ask our clients to source locations themselves. This allows us to keep our prices affordable. Most of our actors use their home. This is perfect as it allows us the time and space to be able to create great content. If you have chosen the two/three scene package then it is always good to film all scenes in the same property but use different rooms/ outside space.
If your home isn’t available then be mindful when choosing locations that the more control we have over the space (lighting, audio etc) the better. While filming in a public place may look cool it can sometimes create more problems than its worth.
As we travel via public transport with all the equipment there may be an extra charge for a taxi from the nearest tube/train station to the location. Please feel free to contact us for further information about this.
At this time we can only travel to London and Kent.
If I don’t split the package with an actor friend, will you provide an actor?
If you are struggling to find a showreel scene partner then we will do our best to provide one. We have a mailing list with professional actors, this gives us a good chance in finding a suitable partner for you. There is an additional charge of £40 per scene to cover the cost of the actors time.
What is the booking process?
To move forward in booking with us you can use the contact form in our ‘Contact’ page, or you can email us with your package of choice. Once this has been received we will respond within 24 hours to arrange a brief Zoom consultation to discuss scene/character ideas and get a date pencilled in. We will then ask for a 20% deposit. Once that has been received your date will be confirmed and our writer can start drafting the scene(s). You will get a copy of the scene(s) within 72 hours of the time the deposit was received. After that, we will see you on set!
I already have some material, can you add that to my showreel?
Yes we can absolutely do that! There will be an added charge for this extra service however of £35.
